Top Ten Tips
Tip 1: Don't Stress yourself
The only persons we can blame for bringing stress into our lives, is ourselves. We view the world, our colleagues, family and workplace, through our own individual perspective, and if we change the way we see a situation, the picture we see is never the same.
Tip 2: Don't let others stress you.
We interpret others attitudes and actions as being personally directed towards us. This is rarely the case. Their actions are a consequence of their own lives, and how they act towards us is probably the same as how they treat others. No one knows another's circumstance, perhaps they have a failing marriage, a serious illness, or a bereavement in the family. Try to treat everyone in a courteuos and reasonable manner, but don't be upset if it isn't returned.
Tip 3: Don't bear ill-will towards others..
Bearing a grudge towards another, poisons positive thinking. Try not to be aggressive. Being kind and pleasant to someone irritating may not work in the short term, but it will make you feel only good in the long run.
Tip 4: Smiling is easier than frowning...
The face uses fewer muscles smiling than it does frowning. You therefore use a lot less energy when you are happy. If you feel good, so will others around you.
