Pilates Techniques
Joseph Pilates was a firm believer in the adaptation of his exercises to suit the particular needs of the individual, regardless of their level of ability or fitness. The skill of the trainer is therefore paramount in assessing the current level of fitness of the trainees, and adopting the Pilates techniques to suit.
There is no exercise which is perfectly suited to everyone, and experienced Pilates teachers will possess a range of exercises which can be adapted to suit each individual client. The major attraction of the Pilates method is that it is flexible and suitable for anyone, regardless of experience, gender, age, size, or current level of health and fitness.
