GP Referrals
In accordance with Government guidelines to reduce coronary heart disease and the incidences of diabetes, some NHS Trusts are moving towards actively promoting moderate exercise and healthy eating, as a way of reducing the risk factors associated with these diseases.
Patients who exhibit risk factors such as high blood pressure, obesity, and a sedentary lifestyle may be referred to an appropriately qualified trainer, who can design and instigate supervised exercise sessions, to help improve overall fitness levels.
Referral patients take part in a number of carefully chosen monitered activities, and at the end of their twelve weekly sessions, we believe the results we obtain, will encourage them to maintain their newly discovered lifestyle.
